The MIL Story

Already reached my tolerance limit towards mum-in-law (mil). I leave her way of living alone. But she doesn't do the same for me. Want to meddle with my things in the room... Where I should place my furniture. Give my tibits away without asking.. Tell me what I should wear... Tell me what I can and cannot eat when she know nuts about proper nutrition even for herself. Fancy taking packet Guava Juice to cure diabities?! And she ate pineapple during her pregnancy!
She better not interfer with what I can or cannot do during confinment...How I should take care of the child... What I should feed the child.

Well.. just wait & see..

Somemore, come end December, we'll have a total of 5 adults & 1 baby to a 2 bedroom & 1 toilet flat. And the mil can't control the bowel movement.

I foresee "World-War-3" approaching.

Still don't want to get a new place?!

Who's testing who's tolerance limit?

Will I reach the day when I have to decide to "runaway" from this uncessary irritations?
Definitely prefer it not to be an option.. But neither am I in the position to resolve the situation.

Mother vs Wife

The topic says it all……

What's with this thing about Mother and Wife thingy???  Can they just possibly stay together and MTOB. *&%^*#$

The worst is we are the ones that are caught in between.  Side the mother, wife complains, Side the wife, mother not happy.  How can we make both happy and I'll definitely be the happiest of them all.

It all started when Mum was making a comment about the dress that wife is wearing. Saying that she should have bought a slightly bigger dress so that she can wear it again when the tummy gets bigger… What's wrong with the comment???  At that moment, I sure know that the fuse in my wife will go off….  And yes indeed, it happened when I was watching my favourite programme of the evening….

Tell me…….. Howwwww??????

New Gynae

Today marks the day that bebe is safe. That's right, Josc is pass the first trimester. Time for her to take up some exercise and bet she just can't wait for that to happen....

The tummy is growing by the day and she's complaining as much as well. Not about bebe but her growing tummy ;) She's saying she's feeling like a "Putt-Tao-Ong" (Laughing Buddha) Front see, side see, her tummy is still not there yet....

We visited the gynae that we first met and recommended us to Dr Charles Lim. He is really professional. He didn't even collect any consultation fee after scanning Josc on her first visit. Immediately he directed us to Dr Charles.

The scan today was longer than normal. We could see bebe's body and limps forming. Even the facial parts are formed. But bebe looks like an alien now... Dr SC Chew even recorded a small clip of bebe moving in the womb. Showed it to Mother and she's not facinated as well. Guess it's a generation gap kinda thing...

Boy or Girl? Everyone must be guessing and we are getting question on the sex of bebe. To us, bebe must be born healthy and the sex do not matter to us. Initially the scan did not show anything and Dr Chew also did not notice anything.... but towards the end of the scan, I thought I saw something at the botton (scan from below). Looks a lot like a small wee wee and 2 balls.... Dr Chew mentioned that he thought he saw it too but on the safe side, did not confirm the sex... Guess we'll have to wait for the next checkup next month ... *(^*#$%&@

The OSCAR Test (6 Jun 07)

An expensive test - $189. But got to say.. it's an amazing experience.
It's done via an abdominal untrasound scan to check the thickness of the bb's neck & see if there's nose bridge visibility and a blood test. The test helps to screen for Down syndrome, Patau and Edward syndromes with approximately 90% accuracy.
hmm.. strange experience.
First thing that made me wonder if i'm seeing things was: the small one bouncing up & down! Never knew that the bb can bounce! The last time, i was still joking with Mac.. Since i'm taking his bike for the 1st trimester.. What if we've a bouncing bb?!?!? It better not be bouncing when it's here in this world!
After, it was busy kicking & waving around. The feeling is really strange coz' the scan reminds me of the old black & white movies, that has halting images.. hmm..
Think if the scan was a 3D one, we could've seen what our bb looks like :P

Come to think of it.. Our bb's such a "show-off"... hmmm.. Must be a boy?!?!? What do u think?

It's growing very fast. now, it's 57mm already.
Eeehh... Can't really imagine myself with a huge tummy. eeehhh....

The hands and legs are showing...

Can you imagine the baby growing in you?

In the first few scan, we can only see the sac and the baby shaped like a BIG curled "sperm".

Today, we were totally surprised that the tiny little arms and legs have grown. The hearbeat is 140/min, that's when mine beat after a 2.4km run.

We really can't wait to see it getting bigger and bigger ;)

Will be going for the OSCAR test to detect early sign of Down Syndrome. Pls pray hard for us that the baby is healthy as can be....

Baby Scan

We had a scan today.... the baby has grown to 17mm. Isn't it amazing!!!!

We wanted to take a picture off the TV monitor but guess the result wasn't good due to the phone camera. Luckily we got a copy of the printout. Will scan it in and post it again...

Stay tuned!!! Coolzzzz

Sick Sick Sick

Mac has been feeling sick for past 3 days.... hope the virus is not transmitted to Joce. It will be very troublesome if she catch the flu virus and it might affect the baby.

So no contact... including morning and night kisses.... :(

Joce is having the next scan on 18 May..... Hope we can get hold of the photo. ;)
